A visit to Mingun in Mandalay, Myanmar

I am a newbie in Mandalay, Myanmar. My colleagues decided to bring me on a visit to Mingun, one of the must-go tourist destination. You will see some photo I had taken on my trip. FYI,

  • the boat ride was 45 min each way,
  • the ‘taxi’ ride was authentic,
  • the earthquake in 2012 did some serious damage to the pagoda (you can see the cracks in the picture of the pagoda)
  • it is a tourist spot, so you can find some souvenirs to purchase, including homemade cigar,
  • going to the toilet can be challenging, so think twice 🙂
